inspiration for my magazine

This is the magazine i modelled my magazine off, i used the same amount of colours and the same layout, also i liked the idea of the picture covering the mast head and tried to imitate this in my final piece. Instead of a man with guns covering the mast head i used my models hand to cover the mast head as if he was grasping out to grab the audience. As you can see in my poster i have used a pull focus, i have made the hand in focus and the face not in focus.

movie name change, glenburn-Asylum

Our original idea was to name our trailer after the place in which it being filmed, hence "Glenburn" as we were and did do most of our filming within Glenburn sports college in Skemsdale. We decided that we wanted this to be the name as it was short and catchy and left people wondering, "what's Glenburn?" although after completing the majority of our filming it was brought to the attention of the schools headteacher ho was informed that this film trailer would more than likely be uploaded to you tube, as a result he headteacher decided that the name "Glenburn" will not be allowed to used for our title. As a result this caused us some minor problems as we had to think of a completely new name for our trailer that was still catchy and fitted with the scary/ mystery of our trailer. After much thought we as a group decided to call our trailer the new name of "Asylum." We liked this because it could have many meanings such as asylum in which mentally unstable people may go, or asylum in the sense of somewhere to shelter and stay at, this leaves our movie title open and  leaves the audience wanting to know more.

Glenburn approval letter from site manager

As we were filming on the grounds of an operational school, we decided it would be appropriate to get the permission of the school to film there, thus we asked the site manager (Ian Westall) who has the authority to grant us access in and around the building.

story behind our production name

Empty Web Productions

Coming up with our production name wasn't easy,
we decided to create a spider diagram of things we found scary and things we thought would be a fitting name for a horror production company. Empty web came about when one of us mentioned about how scary spiders are the way they are so fast and unpredictable. It was later suggested that the scariest thing about spiders is when one minute you see the spider and the next it has dissappeared. We came to the conclusion that an empty web is very creepy as where is the spider! We had a variety of name ideas such as venomous sting films and followThrough productions but we felt Empty Web to be the most appropriate and fitting.
